Week 5

Sunday, January 20, 2011: Isaac has been feeding himself for a little more than a month. Well now he has discovered he can feed us! Just today he feed Jeremy a Cheerio for the first time. Luckily my camera is always near so I was able to capture this snack sharing moment.

Monday, January 31, 2011: I asked Jeremy if he wanted to go to Oodles on Saturday for an afternoon out, but we never made it. He thought about it all weekend so we decided to go Monday. Jeremy put Isaac in his stroller and we wheeled inside to our favorite self-serve yogurt spot. It was pretty busy so Jeremy pushed Isaacs stroller to the side as we got our yogurt. A minute later I went back to check on Isaac and I saw him pulling himself up after he had turned on his belly and slid out. Apparently he was not buckled in. Here we get another nomination for parents of the year!

Tuesday, February 1, 2011: Tonight before mutual we headed to the Ash's to celebrate cousin Branson's first birthday! Here is a picture of all the cousins (Jayde, London, McKenna, Isaac, Branson, Kyra and Aaron). Everyone was happy to help Branson celebrate, open gifts and eat cake.

Wednesday, February 2, 2011: Tonight we were packing for a quick trip to UT for Great-Aunt Erma's (or Great-Great-Aunt Erma to Isaac) funeral and burial. This was his 1st flight of 2011, 5th flight total and 3rd time to UT. Here he is helping me by packing my lip balm (can you see it in his hand?) He was entertained by my suitcase and lip balm for about 30 minutes, another tribute to unconventional toys.

Thursday, February 3, 2011: While we were in UT we made a visit to see LoLo at BYU. Here he is with some roommates and friends, such a ladies man already! (he is also a rule-breaker since boys are not allowed in girl's bedrooms)

Friday, February 4, 2011: This was Isaac's first time in the snow, not what I had imagined exactly but it was still a wonderful day. We were able to learn more about Great-Aunt Erma and be surrounded by lots of family. It's amazing how a funeral can be such a strengthening experience.

Saturday, February 5, 2011: My half-birthday and our last day in UT. We were able to visit with lots of friends this trip and loved being able to keep in touch. We went to see a new local attraction that is basically like an indoor board walk. We had a great time and Isaac even rode on the carousel.
