Friday night we stayed up into the wee hours getting stuff set up in our garage, woke up a few hours later to start the morning set-up with Jason and Caroline. It was a pretty good set up for just a few hours of work.
So our garage sale was supposed to start at 8, so at about 20 minutes until we open the garage and start moving stuff out, within seconds we are turning people away because we were not ready, after a couple of people politely acknowledge our request, I told this one lady, "Sorry, we aren't open until 8. We are still setting up." her bitter response:
"I'm just looking to see if it is worth coming back later!"For real lady?
We had planned on doing this garage sale with Jason and Caroline, and we were excited that our friend Choka also brought some stuff. We were a pretty full sale and did well and one of my students even came to the sale, but do you want to know the real icing on the cake...
At about 12:00 p.m. on Saturday June 28th, 2008 in the middle of our garage sale chaos our home went under contract for purchase! That's right folks, assuming that everything goes well (appraisal, inspection and financing) we are going to move in less than 30 days! We are super excited for how quick it sold and without even having it on the MLS, we are keeping our fingers crossed that everything else goes just as smooth. The new owners are way nice and more than excited to make this house their home.
So if you are a Utah resident call me to make sure that I get to see you before I make the big move!
